The FreezeZone Pedal is a Germanium fuzz pedal engineered to do what no other fuzz pedal has ever done—eliminate the Germanium fuzz pedal’s temperature sensitivity to heat.

For years, musicians have struggled with the unpredictable nature of Germanium fuzz pedals—beautiful when it's behaving, frustrating when the temperature shifts.

The Germanium transistor is effected by temperature change. So much, that just touching the transistor can change it’s gain and current leakage. You may have seen Youtuber's put their fuzz pedals in the refrigerator or freezer producing better tonal qualities and with more sustain. We did tests with geranium transistors and found that by cooling down the transistor the current leakage came down to zero, putting it in competition with silicon transistors, but having the great warm sound of germanium.

Up to now, there has been no way to maintain a cool temperatures in a pedal. We solved that problem.

We built the world’s first fuzz pedal with an internal refrigeration system that actively regulates the transistors to a colder temperature—regardless of whether you're playing under blistering stage lights or in freezing outdoor venues. At the core of the Freeze Pedal is a set-and-forget circuit (with user adjustment available), keeping the Germanium transistor locked in at optimal performance temperatures.

Maintaining a low noise floor is imperative for delivering high-quality recordings and mixes. The FreezeZone Fuzz pedal has a low signal noise floor, which is required for studio recording. The FreezeZone Pedal currently incorporates high end shielded cable on the input leads for noise reduction and line filters to suppress electrical noise coming from the power supply line.

The FreezeZone Fuzz pedal incorporates True Bypass switching.

The FreezeZone Fuzz pedal has an external bias control that allows you to change the character of the fuzz.

Each FreezeZone pedal is hand-built, with hand-picked Germanium transistors, bias tested for gain and leakage at a colder temperature, and meticulously crafted to perform consistently, musically, and joyfully.
